What To Expect With The Cross Border Xpress (CBX)
Parking is easy, just park in the parking lot that is before you reach the "Xpress" on the right hand side.
Enter the "Xpress" and get a "tourist card" to fill out. They are called Forma Migratoria Múltiple (FMM) and are small blue and white colored forms. You can fill this out while you are waiting in a line if you want. Fill out both top and bottom ( I know its redundant). If you are going to be in Mexico for more than 7 days there is a fee of about $24.00.
You can also fill this out online and ahead of time here:

-
After you got your tourist card form to fill out, you will need to check in at the counter. If you checked in online, you may still need to have your bags weighed (both checked and carry-on).
-
Next, you will go through the "Cross Border Xpress" by presenting your ticket and start walking to Tijuana.
-
Thereafter, you will go through a few other lines.
-
One is for your immigration form have just that form ready. They will keep one half and give you the other half back.
-
Next is a random inspection, where you push a button and if its green you are good, red, they will perform a search (usually green don't worry).
-
After that you will be asked for your passport and ticket.
-
Lastly, you will go through the airport security check where you put your bags on the conveyor.
-
By now you are probably in the Tijuana airport, just like any other airport.
-
If it is not busy, it will take you 20 minutes to go from the USA to the TJ airport bar. Easy right?
-
While you wait, get some Tortas and Famous Tortas, they are delicious.
