Puerto Escondido is a spectacular natural harbor. Located about 15 to 20 minutes south of the Loreto Bay. For hundreds of years, many ships have been seeking safe harbor in Puerto Escondido. Puerto Escondido means "Hidden Port" in English.

There is a small community called "Tripui" between highway 1 and Marina Puerto Escondido. In Tripui, there is a 20 room hotel and a trailer/RV park.
