Loreto Water Temperatures

The water temperature in Loreto is cool in the winter (60s) to very warm in the summer (80s maybe in the 90s!). It does cool down in the wintertime more compared to Los Cabos.

The water temperature in Loreto will be over 80 degrees by the end of June and may stay in the 80s until November. The summer weather is also very hot so the 85 degree water will feel perfect. The fish love the warm water and Loreto will be filled with trophy fish. Its also a great time to go snorkeling.

The water temperature then cools down rather quickly in the winter. The smaller Sea of Cortez has larger degree variations than its larger Pacific cousin. The water is so cool in the winter, that you would probably need a wet suit to be comfortable.

Once May hits, the water is as warm as the hottest day in Southern California and the cool short winter is over.
